What helps in a first message
- Property type, and roughly the square footage or acreage
- The hours the site sits unoccupied, and the hours that actually worry you
- What is in place today: video, intrusion detection, access control, officers, or nothing
- Anything that has already happened on or near the property, and whether it was reported
- Who holds the security contract now, if anybody, and when it renews
What happens next
- A short call or a couple of emails to set scope and work out whether we are the right fit for the property.
- A written scope of work with the fee stated in it before anything starts.
- The survey, on site, at the hours that matter rather than the hours that are convenient.
- The report, then a walk through it with whoever has to approve the spend.
Scope, stated plainly
We do security consulting and advisory work. Security surveys and risk assessments, written post orders and procedure, coverage and staffing analysis, alarm ordinance and nuisance alarm review, and help reading vendors and bids. The deliverable is a written report that belongs to you.
We are not taking guard, alarm or monitoring inquiries. Those are licensed activities under Chapter 1702 of the Texas Occupations Code and we do not hold that license yet. If you need officers or an alarm system today, say so and we will point you at licensed firms and take no referral fee for it.
Service area
On-site surveys run out of Dallas-Fort Worth, and we travel for them. Everything else runs remotely, anywhere in the country: post orders and procedure, coverage and staffing analysis, bid comparison, and policy review.
Security consulting is not a licensed activity in Texas. A few states do regulate parts of the advisory work, and where that applies we confirm the requirement before quoting rather than after.
